Josiah lost his mother, Maria, when he was just four years old. He was raised by his grandparents, who introduced him to music and planted a seed that would shape the rest of his life.
Years later, losing his grandmother meant losing another person who had helped build his foundation. Grief became part of his story early, but it would not become the end of it.
THE RECLAIM
THE STAGE FOUND HIM
After his grandmother’s passing, Josiah threw himself into performing. What began with music in his grandparents’ basement grew into a life onstage.
That journey has taken him through two Broadway national tours, Hairspray and Ain’t Too Proud, regional theatre, and performances at sea with Royal Caribbean and NCL.
Music became more than something he loved. It became the way he rebuilt.

THIS ONE IS FOR HIM
For Josiah, breaking free isn’t about erasing what happened. It’s choosing what happens next.
He carries the people who shaped him onto every stage, but he is no longer afraid to step forward as himself.
His philosophy says it best:
“10% of life is what happens to you. 90% is how you react to it.”
And this time, as Josiah says:
